Make it fit.

WebP supports transparency and adjustable quality. Browser support determines available output formats.

80%

For JPG and WebP. PNG ignores this setting and uses lossless encoding after any resize.

320–6,000 px. Keeps the aspect ratio and never enlarges an image.

Transparent areas become white in JPG. Re-encoding can remove metadata. A smaller file is not guaranteed.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Less to send.
More to work with.

Your images stay on this device. This tool uses your browser’s image decoder and canvas encoder. It does not send image files to a server. Downloads are created locally.

Which output format should I use?

WebP often works well for web images and supports transparency. JPG is widely supported and fills transparent areas with white. PNG preserves transparency and uses lossless encoding, but may produce larger files. The quality slider applies to JPG and WebP only.

What changes when I compress an image?

The tool re-encodes the image and optionally reduces its dimensions. JPG and WebP quality settings can lose image detail. Resizing changes the pixel content even when PNG encoding is lossless. Canvas re-encoding may remove EXIF and other metadata, and browser handling of colour profiles can vary.

Why is an output sometimes larger?

An already optimized original can be smaller than a new browser-encoded version. File size depends on the image, dimensions, format and browser encoder. Compare the reported sizes and inspect the result before choosing which version to use.

Compress JPG, PNG and WebP images in a batch

Add images, choose an output format and adjust the quality for JPG or WebP. Keep resizing enabled to reduce larger images to your chosen longest edge, or switch it off to preserve their dimensions. Process the batch, compare sizes and download only the results you want.

Prepare images for everyday sharing

Use a smaller image for a web page, product listing, presentation or email when the original resolution is unnecessary. Keep the original for editing or printing. This tool processes still images; it does not preserve animation or offer a guaranteed target file size.
