BEHIND THE NUMBERS

A useful estimate.
A starting point.

Released time is capacity, not guaranteed cash savings. The model values saved hours at your loaded hourly cost. Real savings depend on how you use that time and whether spending actually falls.

How the calculation works
  • Hours released each month: task volume × minutes per task ÷ 60 × time reduction.
  • Monthly time value: hours released × loaded hourly cost.
  • Monthly net benefit: time value − monthly running cost.
  • Total cost: setup cost + running cost × number of months.
  • ROI: (total time value − total cost) ÷ total cost × 100. Undefined when total costs are zero.
  • Simple payback: setup cost ÷ monthly net benefit, when that monthly benefit is positive.

Volume, costs and time reduction stay constant. Setup is paid at month 0; full benefits start in month 1. The model excludes ramp-up, taxes, inflation, financing and discounting. Payback uses a continuous monthly average; the table shows month-end balances.
