Cloud readiness assessment
Inventory applications, dependencies, licences, data volumes, and operating constraints before selecting a migration approach.
01Cloud migration & infrastructure consulting
Assess workloads, plan cloud or hybrid infrastructure, and migrate agreed systems with clear recovery and operating responsibilities.
Discuss a cloud or infrastructure projectMoving a server is not the same as preparing a business for a new operating environment. BELL RIVER reviews application dependencies, identity, network access, data location, capacity, and recovery needs before proposing a migration. Some workloads may be better retained or modernised in place. The resulting plan should explain the trade-offs and how the service will be supported after cutover.
BELL RIVER is registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Discuss a project for your organisation in the UAE or internationally. Delivery scope, system access and responsibilities are agreed for each project.
The appropriate environment depends on the workload and its constraints, not on a preference for moving everything to the cloud.
Inventory applications, dependencies, licences, data volumes, and operating constraints before selecting a migration approach.
Plan identity, connectivity, environment separation, resource sizing, and access to systems that remain on premises.
Rehearse an agreed move, reconcile transferred data, and define acceptance and rollback conditions.
Check backup coverage, restoration procedures, monitoring ownership, and resource use against business requirements.
Illustrative pilot · Not a customer case study
Illustrative pilot: migrate a non-production internal application using synthetic data. Keep the original environment available until the team has accepted the rehearsal results.
Document dependencies, required access, a workload baseline, and acceptable recovery objectives. Use test credentials and an agreed destination environment.
A migration runbook, environment configuration, a test report, and a rehearsed rollback and restoration procedure.
Measure application behaviour, data consistency, access restrictions, recovery results, and expected operating cost. Do not approve a production cutover solely because the application starts.
Discuss this starting point with us. Scope, cost and timing depend on the assessment; this example is not a fixed-price offer or a claim of a completed implementation.
Scope your pilot02Our approach
Identify workloads, owners, dependencies, and business-critical constraints.
Compare destination options and define access, recovery, cost, and monitoring requirements.
Test transfer, application behaviour, restoration, and rollback in a bounded environment.
Execute an approved change window, verify the outcome, and hand over operating responsibilities.
Scope depends on your task and existing environment. Agree the outputs, responsibilities, and evaluation criteria before implementation begins.
A workload assessment and a proposed target environment with explicit assumptions.
A defined group of workloads, rehearsals, cutover checks, and acceptance evidence.
Review of resource use, backup coverage, and monitoring with prioritised recommendations.
03Define a useful result
A backup is useful only when restoration is tested and responsibilities are known. Recovery targets should reflect the business impact of interruption and data loss.
Migration does not automatically reduce costs or eliminate downtime. Cloud charges, third-party licences, data transfer, support hours, and operating obligations are assessed and agreed for the actual environment.
